Chicago River Cruise Wedding: Caroline + Tim 8/9/17
What do you do when you can’t decide which Chicago view you want for your wedding? You get a boat to take you to all of them!
Caroline and Tim married on a gorgeous summer night aboard Chicago’s Fair Lady yacht. They were joined by their children, family and a some close friends. I met up with them beforehand for some family photos and shots out at Olive Park of just the two them on dry land before we set sail.
Rev. Marian preformed their ceremony dockside on the river with gorgeous views of Michigan Ave. and the Wrigley Building behind them. They decided to incorporate the nautical theme into their details and their ceremony as they literally “tied the knot!”
Post ceremony we headed down the river to the lake to enjoy an amazing sunset over the skyline while partaking in food and cocktails. I’m not sure there is a better view for cocktail hour! They specifically picked a Wednesday night because there are fireworks at Navy Pier. All the guests headed up to the top deck to enjoy the show before we headed back down the river. I have to say cruising down the river at night surrounded by the city is one of my favorite things. The city has such a different vibe at night when all the lights come up. It’s not a bad backdrop for your first dance and cake cutting!
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Here are some of my favorites!
