I am so excited to share this elopement with you!!! Amanda and Mike came over from Michigan to elope near where Mike had proposed (on the Columbus Bridge). We put together the dream team on this one with myself on photography, Kate on hair and makeup and Marian officiating.

I met Amanda at theWit as Kate was finishing up her makeup to shoot a few detail and getting ready shots. I had to send a huge thank you out to theWit for allowing us up to the rooftop for their first look and champagne toast before we headed to the ceremony. We met Marian along the riverwalk at a gorgeous little spot that the couple at picked out. It was nice and quiet spot, but still had the city as the backdrop. They exchanged vows and rings and got a few cheers from boats passing by!

We explored the riverwalk for more photos before heading to Michigan Ave. and the Trump building where they later had cocktails on the terrace. I parted ways with them at this point, but they went on to enjoy and amazing dinner at Vivo in the west loop complete with their own personalized menus. This is the only place in the city I know of that has it’s own private dining table in an elevator shaft! The couple of winters I spent working at a bridal and prom store come in handy a lot, but especially in this case when I’m the only one there to help the bride get dressed and bustled!
