This is a bittersweet blog post as this venue closed shortly after this elopement and it was a favorite. In fact Jenn and Mike may have been the last couple married there. (Cue the tears)

But on a much happier note, we had a great day! Jenn and Mike drove over from Michigan to say their I do’s. Considering it was April they opted for an indoor ceremony in case of bad weather. I suggested the Mars Gallery as it’s a fun space and one of the only that actually allowed one hour rental during the week.

Jenn had a visual in mind so we got to work when are arrived setting up candles to create a focal point for the ceremony. They exchanged vows, did a sand unity ceremony and before you know it they were married! We roamed around the gallery for some photos as no one was there (except the resident gallery cat).

From there we headed downtown for some images at the Wrigley Building and Michigan Ave. It was that perfect time of year when they’ve just planted the tulips on Michigan Ave, even though it snowed 2 days later (no joke). I left them to head off to enjoy the city with dinner and drinks.
