When a bride is a big Cubs fan it only makes sense to start the date at Wrigley for some photos! Thankfully the temperature calmed down as it was 94 the day before (in late September?!). From there we headed out to Olive Park and some skyline views before meeting up with their family and guests along the riverwalk.

In true Chicago fashion the spot we were planning on using had cones blocking it off for repairs that weren’t there the week before. You never know what you’ll get in this city! So we adjusted and moved the party down the way a little bit for their I do’s as the sun set over the skyline. I loved the “aisle” her guests formed for her to walk down!

Unfortunately a couple months after this Laura’s mother passed away. And in the brief time I go to spend with her I could tell she had a vibrant and infectious personality and was a BIG cubs fan (which is where Laura got it from I’m sure). I’m lucky that I got a chance to photograph her smile and I hope in some way I preserved her spirit in these photos for many years to come.
