You may not think of March as winter, but in Chicago it definitely is. And this year seemed to be the winter that wouldn’t end!

I have to give Kristy, Jake and their families major credit for toughing out the cold. As the day was approaching we were trying to decide if we should go for it outside or not as the temps weren’t looking great. But we toughed it out! I’m pretty sure they were frozen solid by the end!

I met them at the Omni Hotel as they were finishing up getting ready. Jake headed out first and we followed in the limo to the old Water Tower on Michigan Ave. I loved their ceremony as they included their kiddos and we were interrupted by a drive by music break courtesy of a biker blasting Michael Jackson! They took it in stride though as Jake took a pause during their vows to rock out! This is why I love my elopement couples!

After some quick family photos the group heading back to warm up and we snuck off in the limo for a very brief break from the cold before jumping out again for a few photos at LaSalle Bridge. I left them to rejoin their guests for dinner and keep the celebration going!
