Elope to Chicago is one year old!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been an entire year since I launched the Elope to Chicago site! It has been a whirlwind of weddings and elopements!

I can’t express enough how lucky I am to be able to work with so many amazing couples from all over the US this year. On several occasions I was the only witness. I met people families and was welcomed with open arms and got to hear stories of how everyone met and lead up to their wedding day. Whether they had been together for 35 year or 3 months each story was amazing in it’s own way. I shot everywhere from city hall to 103 stories up on the Skydeck!

I couldn’t have been doing this without my amazing team. I started with just me and slowly added people throughout the year to assemble what I call my Dream Team! Marian, Eva, Christine and Kate thank you so much for following me on this crazy journey and believing in the idea!

I had no idea what to expect when I launched the site. I’d shot a few small weddings and elopements and loved them so I though surely there are others out there right?! Chicago is a midwest destination so who wouldn’t want to get married here?! My goal for the year was 10 elopements/weekday weddings……. I shot 26!!! And I already have another 8 on the books for the next few months! It has literally been a dream come true!
