Intimate Wedding at Olive Park – Rachel + Brandon 11/5/14
I LOVED this wedding! I was so excited when Rachel contacted me and wanted to get the dream team to help with their elopement. We put together all of our services to create the perfect Chicago elopement!
I met them at the apartment they were staying at (tip for couples – check out airbnb for rentals!). Kate was already in full swing doing hair & makeup. Their parents and siblings had joined them for the trip and were a blast to hang out with all day! Rachel scored some amazing vintage accessories and details at an estate sale of a former wedding planner that helped create the look and feel of their wedding. Be sure to check out those shoes and the fur wrap she wore as the sun went down.
After some shots at the downtown condo we were off to Olive Park to meet Eva for the ceremony. I love Olive park for a number of reasons. It’s an amazing backdrop for a ceremony, and it’s usually a little more private and quieter than some of the other options in the city especially on weekdays. They wrote their own vows to each others which had everyone, myself included, in tears. It was a wonderful and personal ceremony surrounded by the ones they love.
Post ceremony we did some family photos and it was off on a limo ride around the city for several more photos stops and some champagne to celebrate of course! We hit some of the hot spots in the city with stops at Millenium Park, Chicago Cultural Center, Trump Tower and the Kinzie Bridge before ending the night back at the rooftop of the condo they had. All in all it was the perfect day.
Thank you again to Rachel & Brandon for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day!
